How Read Tire Sidewall Markings

  1. TIRE WIDTH –Tire width in millimeters, it is measured from sidewall to sidewall.
  2. ASPECT RATIO – Tire height as percentage of the width. Aspect ratio is calculated by dividing a tire’s height off the rim by its width.
  3. RIM DIAMETER – The tire diameter in inches. It is the width from top to bottom of the wheel.
  4. LOAD RATING – The tire load capacity. The amount of weight your tire can support safely.
  5. SPEED RATING – The tire speed indicator.
