Job Summary
The Building Engineer is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all building systems, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and power systems, in compliance with regulatory and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor and ensure performance of the following:
o Operate, inspect, and maintain electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire alarm, generator, and elevator systems.
o Preventive maintenance and corrective repairs.
o Compliance with Fire Code, Electrical Code, Mechanical Code, and OSH standards.
o Energy and utility usage and prevent system overloads and failures.
o Troubleshooting of equipment problems and respond to emergencies.
o Supervision of contractors and service providers. Compliance to contract.
o Maintenance records and submit technical reports.
o Respond to tenant or department maintenance requests.
Qualifications
• Licensed Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Engineer preferred.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years experience in building or facilities engineering is preferred.
• Familiar with electrical systems, HVAC, fire protection, and power distribution.
