- SIDE WALL – The rubber component of the tire that covers between the tread and the bead.
- BODY PLY – The skeleton of a tire, and it is made of artificial rubbers such as polyester and rayon.
- STEEL BELT – Provides stiffness to the tread and protects the carcass. It is usually made up of stiff steel cords.
- BEAD – Designed to firmly grip the tire to the wheel. The beads contain a steel loop made from a bundle of new steel wire, making the bead extremely strong.
