Credit and Collection Analyst

Position Summary:

To assist in the implementation and monitoring of the company’s credit control policies and procedures. Ensure that all customer payments are properly accounted for and collected, and protect the company’s assets as well. Ensure that all customer-required documents are properly accounted for and submitted prior to any commitment or engagement.

Essential Duties:

  1. The duties of a credit and collections analyst include day-to-day collection calls in a fast-paced, goal-oriented department.
  2. The C&C analyst is to ensure collection targets are met monthly and minimize past dues.
  3. Provide customer service regarding collection issues, process and review any account adjustments, and resolve client discrepancies and short payments.
  4. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining assigned accounts, customer calls, customer reconciliations, and processing and providing credit memos.
  5. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining customer credit facilities and ensuring customers have past-due accounts, dispatches must be suspended as soon as possible or when the customer has reached the credit limit, unless the customer has been sent any proof of payment or remittance (cable copy or deposit slip).
  6. Accountable for reducing delinquency for assigned accounts.
  7. Responsible for the on-time preparation of accurate monthly commissions for the assigned account officers (AOs).
  8. Review, check, and encode the PDC received from the assigned accounts with a complete list and supporting documents. Ensure PDCS is in compliance with the bank’s regulations.
  9. Monitors the collection of EWT and ensures it is properly encoded into the system.
  10. Must communicate and follow up effectively with AOs and customers regarding accounts with concerns on a timely basis.
  11. Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with clients and account officers.
  12. Ensure to get payment confirmation from the client for those with past-due accounts to ascertain the date of collection before the release or dispatch of goods.
  13. Prepares a report for all accounts with problematic and delinquent payments for appropriate action, especially those clients included in the programs.
  14. Responsible for sending the statement of accounts (SOA) to your respective distribution center in every quarter and, if needed, ensuring that it is properly received by the clients.
  15. Responsible for the accounting and monitoring of all accountable forms and documents, e.g., DR, copies of SI, and PR.
  16. The duties of a credit collection and credit risk analyst are to oversee the C&C department, including the processing and verification of credit term applications (CTAF), ensure complete information, and complete documentary requirements before sending for credit approvals.
  1. The duty of a credit and collection risk analyst includes the evaluation of customer and client business information, structure, capabilities, and assets in preparation for and requirements for business dealerships and end users.
  2. Completion of required documents for the client’s enrollment as a dealer or end user of PPC Asia Corporation.
  3. Ensure that the client’s terms and credit limit assigned are set properly and are followed strictly according to the agreed terms and conditions.
  4. Reassessment of the old client’s credit terms and credit limit to ensure that they have accurately managed their purchases and payments accordingly.
  5. Provide a proposal to increase, decrease, or even suspend the credit terms and credit limit of the client in any case in which the client commits against the agreed terms and conditions as a dealer or end user.
  6. Responsible for all documents submitted by the client and ensure that all requirements are properly arranged and filed accordingly.
  7. Responsible for conducting credit investigations for new and old customers to protect the company from possible delinquency and problematic accounts.
  8. Prepare the customer card for credit approval, and once approved, the same will be forwarded to accounting for encoding into the system.
  9. Continuous and direct communication with the client, account officer, regional sales manager, and account officer, regional sales manager, and general manager in any issues and inquiries with regards to the client’s information, credit facilities, and requirements.
  10. Accountable in reviewing clients with an over-credit limit and raising possible solutions to pacify and apply appropriate actions to either realigned or hold orders until such time that the client lowers his exposure.
  11. Ensure that all clients who will enroll or are candidates in any sales program have submitted all documents and CTAF requirements prior to engagement or formal sales program commitment.
  12. Prepare reports for all accounts with problematic or delinquent accounts for appropriate action, especially those clients included in any sales programs.
  13. Secure the client’s payment history and payment habits are all in good standing, and monitor unpaid transactions if there’s any.
  14. Take immediate and corresponding actions for clients lacking documents to expedite completion and assessment/evaluation.

17. Ensure the attainment of the credit and collection KPI’s.

  1. AR ratio: 80:20
  2. No unresolved accounts for problematic customers
  3. Zero un-posted payments (NIL)
  4. All transactions should comply with the company’s credit control policies and procedures.

18. Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Credit and Collection Department.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
  • At least (1) One year experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
